Therapy can really work for men. Blokes are very bad at talking about their problems - Alex James, musician and bass player for Blur
Michael Kallenbach is a competent, experienced and professional couples therapist specialising in relationship and marriage counselling. With private consulting rooms in Central London and Marlborough, he sees those struggling with their relationships, who are in need of help and support. He is passionate about working with couples and individuals across the heterosexual and LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) spectrum, however emotionally rich or challenging their material might be.
He does so in an affirmative, therapeutic way and believes that when people are listened to with respect, problems and conflicts can be explored in a professionally focused and non-judgmental environment. While it takes enormous courage to show up for therapy and face vulnerabilities, it can help bring about genuine understanding and real change to a person's life, having an impact on happiness and general well-being.
Michael qualified at the Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships in London (now Tavistock Relationships), the world's leading organisation for training in couple psychoanalytic psychotherapy. He is currently undertaking a post-foundation course at the Institute of Psychoanalysis.
